Starting with a fine selection of microphones, the signal is sent through a custom built 3 way isolated transformer splitter to our preferred microphone preamplifiers; Grace Design's 801R's. The isolated splitter eliminates any chance of ground loops between the trucks and the stage. The signal is recorded in both traditional PCM digital format, as well as multi-track DSD (Direct Stream Digital) on the Sonoma.
DigsREX Mobile Recording engineers are experienced with every aspect of interfacing with video trucks, sound companies, and associated equipment. We feed stereo and mono mixes to the VTRs, plus SMPTE time code if required. The truck is equipped and can provide a mix for live broadcasts of any kind, as well as redundant recording systems. With 24 Bit analog to Digital converts and the right selection of microphones and microphone preamps, DigsREX mobile recordings and broadcasts are of the highest quality.
